There are a few things you should know about the less expensive cartridges. Some of the benefits include:
- Significantly lower prices
- High quality
- Easy to order and receive

The prices are typically lower because you are not paying for the brand name. These companies are still making a profit, but not as much as the big-name manufacturers. The ink is comparable (or sometimes even better!) than the ink you can purchase at full price. It’s also incredibly easy to purchase these cartridges through a variety of different channels. Most big stores will not carry these inks, but you can usually find some great deals on discount inks through online retailers.
Three important things to consider: In most cases, the ink itself is exceptionally high quality, but the actual cartridge itself will not typically be as sturdy as the higher priced inks. That is a small sacrifice, though, for the money you can save. Also, the new wireless printers also have special sensors on the ink cartridges. When you are buying discount ink cartridges, you need to make sure that the sensors are on them. If there are not any sensors, you will need to take the ones off of your current cartridges and add them on to the discount ones. Finally, there is a small possibility that you may have to wait a little longer to get your ink because of shipping delays.
All in all, discount ink cartridges perform just as well as the more expensive ones. The difference is negligible when it comes to the quality of the ink. Unless you definitely need to make certain that you are using the absolute best product available, the discounted inks will suit your needs for general everyday printing of documents and photos.
Once you have found a company/retailer that you like, you should take the time to order some extra ink. It is highly recommended to always have at least one extra ink on-hand for any emergencies. I know this may sound ridiculous, but you don’t want to be caught in a bind; just be sure to store your cartridges appropriately.
Probably the hardest part of finding great discount ink is finding a great ink dealer. Devote a decent amount of time to conducting good research and you will be able to find a reputable dealer who also offers low costs. A number of auction sites carry this type of ink for really great prices, but you can also find these inks through actual online stores. If you are not comfortable with the online bidding process, than the online stores may be the better option.
Once you receive your ink, you need to make certain that it will fit your printer before you install the product. If you open them and put them into your printer, you may not be able to return them if they are the wrong design. Make sure you order the correct type. Finally, print a practice page and let the fun begin!
Cut the Price, Not the Quality!
