Roland's first water-based resin printer is the TrueVIS AP-640. The AP-640 is a 64′′ print-only machine that is part of the flagship TrueVIS series.
TrueVIS, the all-in-one solution that has transformed thousands of businesses around the world, has reached a new level with the addition of the resin printer. The AP-640 achieves high color saturation on a variety of coated and uncoated media, including PVC-free, vinyl, paper film, and others.
Resin printing was previously associated with flat, uninspiring colors. The TrueVIS AP-640 redefines resin printing with high color saturation on a variety of materials ranging from uncoated PVC to non-PVC media. It comes with new TrueVIS resin ink and advanced machine features that optimize color reproduction on vinyl, paper, film, and specially formulated fabrics, allowing you to expand your graphics to include flags, roll-up screens, textiles, wallpapers, and much more.
A 7-inch full-color touch panel with simple settings and functions simplifies print operations. Set-up, maintenance, print volume, consumables, print status, and other icons are clearly defined, allowing for a convenient, streamlined workflow.
The new drying unit allows prints to dry quickly and completely before moving on to the next process, saving hours of production time.
With the press of a single button, you can now automatically adjust the media gap and feed compensation. The AP employs optical registration technology to ensure print accuracy and avoid output variations.
An adjustable take-up provides print stability for a wide variety of popular media. It also allows easy installation of a loading platform for the clean, efficient media collection.
TrueVIS resin printers have access to hundreds of media-specific printing profiles that control optimal ink volume and drying temperature. An optimizer prepares the media surface, allowing for the formation of precise dots, while variable dot control technology fires three types of ink droplets to produce unparalleled image quality, producing natural beauty and vividness never seen in a resin ink printer before.
The printheads are staggered in a dual configuration, with an optimizer printhead that prepares the media surface for the CMYK printhead. This allows ink droplets to form finer dots, resulting in more precise color and image reproduction.
TrueVIS Resin Ink's highly concentrated color pigmentation allows for greater color saturation than conventional resin inks and printers, resulting in a greater graphic impact on paper, fabric, canvas, wallpaper, non-PVC materials, and other media.
Roland DG resin inks have very low VOC emissions, making them ideal for interior applications where safety and compliance are paramount.
